Aerocom

Aerocom Mattresses and Foam Products made its place in the bedding industry in the year 1962. Mr Mohan Lal Gupta was a well-respected in Indian industry for manufacturing import substitute slurry valves, high tensile fasteners and other engineering spares. One day he noticed that the motor car seat in his motor vehicle was made of Rubberised Coir Fibre. Those days the European and American car manufacturers used Rubberised Coir Fibre to make the high end motor cars seats using Austrian technology. Mr Gupta got the Austrian technology along with Plant and Machinery from DOA and started manufacturing Rubberised Coir mattress in Bhubaneswar, Orissa . Orissa had a good availability of Coconut plantation. In 1965, Aerocom took part in an exhibition to introduce Rubberised Coir Mattresses, Mats, and Cushions in the Calcutta Market. Before then customers were only aware of Cotton and Rubber foam mattresses. In 1990 another unit for Rubberised Coir fibre was put up in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Being centrally located it was logistically viable. Being a technically exposed to import substitute products this time all the plant and machinery at Nagpur was made in-house (MADE IN INDIA).In 2014 an engineering unit was introduced which caters to the needs of the automobile and defence industry. In 2016 Aerocom expanded its product portfolio to venture into the production of Polyurethane Foam and Rebounded Foam.
